QB-ANCHORED STACK SHAPES
QB+1 through QB+3, with or without a bring-back. Allocations are “up to” caps, an explicit 0 blocks a shape, and anything unallocated is built free-form by the game scripts.
Every NFL lineup gets built inside correlated game simulations, where a QB's big day lifts his pass catchers and drags the other side into a shootout. You keep the wheel — stack shapes, bring-backs, locks, fades, and exposure caps are all yours.

A traditional NFL optimizer takes one projection per player and stacks the highest totals it can fit under $50,000. Every user with the same projections gets nearly the same lineup, and none of those lineups knows that a 42-point game and a 58-point game are different worlds.
Football scoring is correlated. When a quarterback throws for four touchdowns, someone caught them. When one team runs away with it, the other team throws all second half. DFS Only plays every game on the slate out thousands of times with those links built in, then builds each lineup for a specific way the slate could break — which is why stacks and bring-backs show up because the game script calls for them, not because a rule forced them.
And unlike black-box sim tools, nothing is hidden from you. Set the stack shapes you believe in, cap how much of your portfolio rides on one team, lock the QB you love, and the optimizer builds inside the sims around your read. New to the format? Start with the NFL DFS beginner's guide, then read the NFL stacking strategy guide.

Decide how often each QB anchors a lineup, or hit Sim to fill the percentages straight from how often each offense wins the simulations.
Choose what fills the stack leg (WR or TE) and the bring-back (WR, TE, or a pass-catching RB) as shares of your build.
Max exposure per player, Max Stack % per QB team, and Max Team % to keep a 150-max portfolio from leaning 40% on one offense.
Every position in every game graded Great, Good, Neutral, Tough, or Avoid, with the game story and coach tendencies behind it. Target or fade a game and it carries into the optimizer.
Pick a contest size (150-max down to single entry) and stakes (cash, low-stakes GPP, high-stakes GPP) and the stack settings set themselves — still fully editable.
Every sim fills a pool of correlated lineups. Filter by team, player, or stack, sort by ceiling or top-10% rate, and see which structures actually won the sims.

Get Pro →It depends on how you play. If you want lineups built from game simulations rather than one average projection — and you still want full control of stacks, bring-backs, and exposures — that is exactly what DFS Only is built for. For an honest look at the trade-offs between tools, read the NFL DFS optimizer comparison.
DFS Only doesn't have a free tier. The cheapest way in is the $12 NFL day pass, which unlocks the full NFL tool for 24 hours with no subscription — enough to build a full main-slate portfolio. Every strategy guide on the blog is free.
A regular optimizer maximizes one projected point total under the salary cap. A sim-based optimizer plays the slate out thousands of times with correlation between teammates and opponents, then builds lineups that win specific game scripts — a shootout, a blowout, a low-scoring grind. That produces more varied, more correlated GPP lineups than chasing one average number.
Yes. You set stack shapes (QB+1 through QB+3, with or without bring-backs), team allocation, pass-catcher and bring-back type, player locks and fades, max player exposure, max stack %, and max team %. The sims supply the correlation; you supply the read.
